GEMB - CLI's

Looks like GEMB is in giving mood. I pressed CLI button and got some luv from GEMB.

PayPal $500 ( 2100 to 2600 )

OldNavy $200 ( 1000 to 1200 )

Walmart $150 ( 1800 to 1950 )

I have to try for JCPenny. Not sure yet, what the outcome would be for JCP.

Congrats! Penny doesn't give CLI's too often or too quick.  I was stuck at$300 during the longevity of having my card.  But I fixed them.  I threatened to sue them for various reasons and we settled without litigation.

Today, I carry no GEMB products and never will.   Enjoy your dealings with them.

I just hit the CLI button for my JCP card and got an increase from the original $400 when I opened it in September to $1800. I tried with Walmart as well but I've only had the card for a month and they said no, I'm sure it's the 4 month waiting period reason Smiley Happy

Re: GEMB - CLI's

Sure seems like GEMB is in a jolly giving mood. I obtained an Old Navy card from them for a CL of $150 back in July. They just raised it to $450.. which is appreciated.

Re: GEMB - CLI's

Last January I opened 2 GEMB acounts, an Amazon store card and a ShopNBC Mastercard.  I read several negative things about them but have to say that I have not had any problems at all.  I have received credit limit increases on both of them and even though they were all initiated by me there has never been a hard pull as a result.  I received increases on both in October so I'll probably wait until they report this month and make another run at them.

Congrats on your increases.

Maybe it is me....I have never witnessed a luv button on the GEMB website, and I have two cards (Discount Tire & Pep Boys). Is it relevant to the time they believe you are eligible for the increase? I am curious. Has anyone recieved increases like clockwork with GEMB?

I have 2 GEMB cards -- JCP and Old Navy and have never asked for an increase. I've had ON 2 years, and JCP for 1.5 years and I only just got my first CLI's from both of them back-to-back, strictly their decision. I don't know why it took them so long, but that may be more with my previous credit history than anything else. I'm in excellent standing now with all of my cards, and have been since I opened them,  but my previous history is a little dirty.  In fact, a year and a half ago, Old Navy reduced my credit line by almost $200, citing that information obtained in my credit report caused them to make the change. I'd already had the card just shy of a year at that point. JCP didn't touch my credit line, though, so I have no idea what the deal was. I didn't get big CLI's, either (I don't think). It was $200 on JCP and $300 on ON.

Anyway, long story short, I haven't been privaleged enough to get clockwork CLI's on my cards. I just wait for them to do it and accept what they give me.

You could have gotten almost $1000 with the usual GEMB 4-month-CLI ® in these two years...
