Are you serious? It's Day 1.....as in the first day. Like Xbox did. It's just a different card image.

Excuse me for not knowing **bleep** day one is! Does it mean the companies first time rolling out a credit card for that store?? I still don't understand "day one" vs their other credit card . Oh well... Never mind
It's just a special image on the card.
You could take the same image and put it on a Cap1 card!

Ok thanks
Pizza, as far as I know it's just corny marketing. When the Xbox One came out they had a Day One Edition. Just for people who pre-ordered before a certain point. Just had some labeling and whatnot, no practical use or anything. This sounds like the same thing.
Game Stop just starting offering a credit card, they didn't have one until now. They're a game store so they did take license from Microsoft/Xbox One in that those approved for the card on the 1st day you could apply for it, received a Day 1 edition card. It is a complete marketing gimic. To my knowledge there isn't anything extra about the Day 1 vs whatever card they issue to those who apply after the first day.
Like alot of people my son is a big gamer, I shop there regularly and I wanted the extra reward points for applying for the card. Not sure if I'll use it everytime I pay for a game, I wouldn't carry it around with me, there's no room in my wallet anyway, I just wanted the points and the card because I'm a bit of a app addict

It's like the Disney CC from Chase. If you opened in on day 1, you have Charter Member printed on the card. Doesn't mean anything for terms/use but anyone that sees it, will be "Hey...whats charter member?" Only a talking point really.
That's one terrible rewards card with terrible benefits...
I pay off my credit cards every month in full, but I will feel really sorry for people that intend to carry balances because that card was one of the most stupid interest rates ever made...
Other than that, I buy my games from Amazon or other online stores...or buy it through the PSN store...and their rewards structure is much better than gamestops...
