Who would have guessed it? Comenity!
After seeing the news stories and no one having leaked anything about the institution backing it, I figured with the crazy APR it would be either Comenity or Synchrony. Just tried the "http://c.comenity.net/" prefix used to manage their other store brand lines, followed by gamestop. Lo and behold... it worked!
id rather get the sony playstation card, at least i wont have to go to the store to get anything.
also a horrible apr though if you leave a balance.

Not sure yet. From what I see on the underlying code on their site presently, it doesn't have any indicators to any prescreen scripts (as the other comenity ones do). However, they may not put that in place until they are ready for the soft/hard launch.
Well, just found this. It's the landing page for anyone given a prescreen ID # to continue with applying for the card.

On most of the Comenity sites, when you get the shopping cart popup trick, the prescreen script that runs in the background of the site has a lot of hidden info stored, including this number. So, this leads me to believe that it will in fact be possible. However, its all just a guessing game at this point.
the sad thing is that a capone quicksilver has about the same approval criteria but offers cash back and a lower apr....round one capone wins lol

Your siggy looks a little thin, why not diversify? Seriously though, has anyone tried this for the shopping cart trick? I'm opted out otherwise I'd give it a try. And no, I'm not willing to take a HP either.
