I'm back my friends... no apps since the middle of May, so I'm doing OK.  I'm still not quite ready to add the spade since I'm always on the lookout.  Smiley Very Happy

For the moment nothing is on the radar, though... probably until the holidays, anyway.

As for my refusal to add the spade, I guess I'm just not the 'commitment' type... LOL!  Smiley SurprisedSmiley Tongue

Re: Garden Club Thread - August 2016

Happy August.

Where has the summer gone?

Loved the Cayman Islands - even in the middle of the summer. Was kind of fun to see/hear thunderstorms again.

Still need to get out to backpack and spend time under the stars.

Otherwise, been working on eating better, exercising more, and living more simply.

Here for a couple more months, then will briefly step out for my auto loan and return quickly.

Interestingly, my credit scores are ever so slowly going up (despite my credit hijinks in June). With exception of brief (but very signficant) drops for 0% utilization over the months, my scores have been fairly level for the last couple years. Finally, TU08 went up 5 points to 745, after essentially sitting stagnant for almost a year. EQ08 hung out in the 730s for what seemed, dropped briefly to the 720s when I applied for credit in June and then bumped up to the 740s (now 741). EX08 has always been my worst score and continues to sit at 730.

Anyways...enough rambling. More gardening. Hope all is well. Welcome to all new and not old gardeners. Smiley Happy

Trying to stay strong in the garden, but still pondering Chase cards as I am just under 5/24.

Oh, and lost points on TU FICO 8. What the heck?! I cannot see any pattern to this at all, as the other CRAs are still where they were. Meh, no biggie, but it is odd...

So, August gardening commences!

TU is doing the same to me.  Even a tiny increase in CC usage will cause them to snatch away points.  They literally just gave me 4 and took them right back two days later. Smiley Frustrated

Adult.  Dull with an A on one end, and a T on the other.

I don't care WHAT my drivers license says, I fully intend to stay 12 for as long as possible.  Smiley Happy

Re: Garden Club Thread - August 2016

Good morning boys and girls.  Yesterday was not quite as awesome as I had hoped for, but I got a LOT done at job A.  The boss being far, far away makes for a much, much quieter day.  Smiley Happy

Just sitting here watching utilization drop, scores rise, and waiting to see who wants to CLD me next.  Argh.

New month check in. No major changes to my scores, no changes to my accounts. I think I already reported a small CLI from Cap1 in July. I increased my auto savings transfer.

I am considering leaving the garden momentarily for a few more cards, but only if it is the right plan. Am I allowed to ask for advice here in the garden about if I should app? I know I can start a new thread, but I would really like the advice of my conservative garden friends. Smiley Happy

So, what did you want to ask?

Re: Garden Club Thread - August 2016

Just checking in.  Month #4.

I've seen some good score increases over the last couple months because of a combination of gardening and a couple updates/removals of negatives.

Glad to be here!

March 2014: Abysmal, low 500s

April 2015: TU 607 | EQ 599 | EX 608
March 2019: TU 717 | EQ 727 | EX 727

Re: Garden Club Thread - August 2016

Not too much going on, did get an APR reduction on my SM card (now at 10.24%), waiting to see if my refi will report this month or not (refi was done in march/april)
Otherwise have nothing credit related to do
