@Anonymous wrote:I already have an update. DH and I sat down and talked, and we are going to put a little bit of money into his vehicle. It runs great, and there's just no necessity to get something new right now. (Plus, I might end up trading him for daily drivers. He likes my Honda, and I love driving his ginormous, gas-chugging SUV!) Plus, I just want to garden, and let things grow. I know we'll be in a much better place a year from now. I'm actually starting to think mortgage! I've gone from thinking, "It will never happen," to thinking, "Wow, we could buy a place in 2018!" I just want to thank everyone on here, because I don't think I would have had the knowledge or the wherewithall to do this without you guys!
Such a scarey and exciting feeling, isn't it???! But once you realize ... hey, I may be able to actually apply for mortgage in about a year or so...wow...
That's when you really get motivated and focused! Yeah, I can see it now...Bella pulling that big 'ol SUV in the driveway of her new house! <all grins>
myFico: where dreams become reality!
Thanks, LOTR! It is both scary and exciting, but very cool to think it's possible. Hey, as long as I'm not having to push that behemoth into the driveway, all will be well!
Checking in for January. Hope everybody had a great New Years! Can't believe it's already 2017.
I am offically joining the garden. I really need to.
Since 2013, I have gone from 0 credit cards to 36 as of December 30, 2016.
On my EQ report I have 24 HP and 37 SP
On my EX report I have 41 HP and 85 SP
On my TU report I have 42 HP and 45 SP
My goal is to garden for one year. Starting on 01/01/2017. Therefore 2 days successfully gardening!

LOL. Welcome to it, and congrats on two days!
We already have a mortgage and two car loans... one of which I hope to pay off in March, we shall see. I just looked yesterday, but can't remember our inquiry count, and while it is not as um, ... "impressive" as Boragards is, there are too many of them.
I'm taking 2017 off and dragging DW along with me.
3 months today!!!!
Happy New Year everyone!
Good Morning and Happy New Year!! I've been kinda quiet the past 6-8 weeks, but I'm still here!! I'm really trying to prolong going back to a seedling...even though I know its inevitable since I need a long term 0% BT card. I got a surprise check from work last Fri, which I'm hoping doesn't turn into a nightmare by bumping my tax bracket up....apparently they discovered a glitch in the payroll system that was shorting us on OT pay, therefore it was all retro pay we were owed. It definitely came at a good time to help ease my stress with paying off some balances, time will tell with taxes if it was truly a blessing. I heard back from RBFCU on my duplicate TU inq from last Jan when I opened a checking/savings and CC online not realizing I should have called or gone in to open the CC to avoid the duplicate. They are deleting it
I also was shocked to learn when I logged in to pay my Nebraska Furniture Mart bill that they gave me autoCLI luv of $1500!! I had read multiple posts on here about they are always a HP for CLI. Guess I will count my blessings where I can.
Once I go back to a seedling, My Goals for 2017 are:
1) Have a plan to pay remaining 0% interest balances before they expire (I'm on track with most already)
2) Get scores increased across the board to 750+
3) No new inquiries or HP CLI for 12 mo.
Happy 2017 Fellow GC Members!!!
I'm still here and will remain until I purchase my next vehicle in 2019. My FICO scores continue to rise and I'm very excited about that (current average 685). I encourage everyone here to remember your credit goals and know that time is your friend. The Garden Club is a great place to be!!!

Always nice to see you my old friend! Congrats to you on your Gold Spade!
Happy New Year!
Thanks pizza! Starting out the new year with a clean report and soon to be 1 inquiry left on EX and 0 on EQ and TU. Kenny got them to fix it so I can edit my signature again so life is good! Happy New Year to all!
@tealatte wrote:Just signed up to myfico forum but I have been reading for a while and learned a lot. My last application was on 9/2/16 so I have been gardening for a while.
Here are My CC
- Amex Platinum
- Amex BCE-CL $5000
- Chase Sapphire- CL $8000
- Chase Freedom Unlimited-CL $3500
- Citi Preferred-CL $2000
- Barclay Rewards- $1500
- Bestbuy VISA-CL $1000
My Plan is to continue to garden and grow the CL by SP and probably close the Barclay and Best buy as I don't really have use for them.
Happy New year Everyone!
tealatte, you will find that the garden is a very good place to be. Welcome.
Welcome me, group. My name is RJ, and I'm here to garden!
