Gas Card Question /Data/Curiosity

The question is that I find many are asking for gas credit cards recommendations when most Americans are members of Costco, Sam's Club, BJ's Whole, the use oil company gas credit cards, debit cards. I find many recommend Citi Custom Cash when you are locked out of Costco because it is Mastercard, I am aware able to use Chevron, Shell, Kroger plus subsidaries, Safeway, Exxon. Mobil.  In my mind if I am going to shop at Costco, Sam's Club or BJ's, defintely I will fill my gas there and not drive extra miles to fill at another gas station with higher prices.  I do use the AAA Travel Advantage Visa Signature Credit at Costco for 5% cashback. I do use Loves' during road trip besides Sam's Club as a memberand since it does not exist in Oregon

What credit card do you use for gas?

Re: Gas Card Question /Data/Curiosity

Paypal debit card.  OK not a credit card, but 5% off upcapped.  I use it in my Exxon-Mobil app for a little extra discount

ETA: I realize that it is capped, $1000 a month (Oh, as noted below)

I have it for groceries at WinCo since they don't accept credit cards.

WinCo Foods, Inc. is a privately held, majority employee-owned[5][6][7] American supermarket chain based in Boise, Idaho, with retail stores in ArizonaCaliforniaIdahoMontanaNevadaOklahomaOregonTexas,[8] Utah, and Washington. It was founded in 1967 as a no-frills warehouse-style store with low prices. The stores feature extensive bulk food sections.

I use the SYW MasterCard. Or rather, I have P2 use it since I have an EV. 5% default (6% really since I pay it off with debit card) and not capped monthly like the CCC is at $500, and leaves both CCC and PayPal available for better categories.

It is capped, though, at $1k spend a month. Not that you're likely to hit that.

Costco, big fan.  Waiting for the annual reward certificate doesn't bother me.

My business uses Chevron. It tracks all my trucks and each drivers fuel usage.

Yes, just edited that then saw your post!   Most of my major cards are uncapped, this one isn't
