uRe: Getting Back In With Discover After CO

Looks like I'll be waiting til ~ Sept then for it to fall off, depending on how early I can get an EE. Seems a bit odd they wait til it falls off the credit file when they're the original lender and can, in theory, still see that you had a CO forever from their own database. If I do manage to get one before I'll definitely make a post. I have a savings and checking with them and am adding a few bucks a week to savings in the hopes that might sweeten how I look to them. Actually just swapped to a much higher paying job and am direct depositing 1/3 of my check there too and will use the debit for 1% cashback without having to use one of my credit cards to see if debit spend also may make me more attractive and get me in.

Of course even if I get in before it falls off there is no guarantee any of those additional steps caused it. Still be interesting to see though.

Charge off a very long time ago and I am back with them for 5 years now, after 5 years they gave me a $2k CLI. Now its $9.5k CL....I wont make the credit debt mistake again and glad that some cards will take us back, unlike Amex but I dont need them, since I have Disco again
