I've received about 3 cc offers from HSBC in the mail over the last week. I think it's pretty odd because I have a Best Buy/HSBC charge off on my reports and I haven't yet resolved the issue with the collection agency. I understand these are prescreenings and not official offers, I just find it odd that I am receiving them at all.
I am currently waiting for my last round of GWs to do their magic (HSBC is not one of them) and am planning on trying to open a few cc. Is there any change HSBC would actually consider extending credit to me?
Thanks.
Orchard would probably give you a card right now.... check the pre-approval.
however if you get all your bads deleted, Household is not a company that I would choose to do business with again if you can help it.
Run! Do not pass Go Shredder, do not collect $200 Apply for HSBC
depends on the type of hsbc card offer you got if it's an offer for a hsbc card from there main website(us.hsbc.com or hsbccreditcard.com) those are pretty good if it's from one of there subsid. FORGET IT!!!!
i have two HSBC cards that i got about 1 year ago. after one full year of payments and use, they refuse to do a cli, stating all cli's are on hold. mean while the limits are 300 and my CR says the limit on my cc's are to low. so i applied for capital one transferred the balances and dumped the HSBC junk. these cards are little to no help.
Don't even waste your time. They don't base the junk mail that they send on your credit score. They send them out to random people and if you apply then they've accomplished their goal. I used to think if they sent it to me, then I must have some qualifications and every time I applied, I got denied. It's a marketing tactic and it's a waste of time. If you need a card, go to a company that's known for helping people repair their credit. Not the random flyers in the mail from HSBC.
