Re: Getting Jared to report $0 balance

Interesting. Well they have always reported on the day the statement cut in previous months. As I said, it's never been an issue as long as I still had a balance. Why should I have to wait now? Whatever, I no longer need this card any way so I'll just close it and not have to deal with them going forward.

From my experience as a card holder of Jared, they're ALWAYS a month behind when reporting. I had the same issue...paid it off in Decemeber, I didnt see the payoff of zero balance until February....go figure...patience I guess. Hoped that helped...prolly not but...just saying...LOL

Anyone have any advice on getting Jared to update to the correct balance on my CR? I paid it off last month in effort to boost my scores but when my statement cut they reported the same balance to the CRAs that they reported last month not this month's statement balance so my scores actually went down a few points. I read a couple other threads where people were unhappy with them for the same reason. Anybody ever had success resolving the issue with them or is my best bet to dispute with CRs as incorrect balance?

Edited for clarification.

Canceling usually works, Otherwise perhaps calling them and seeing if they will push a manual update would be great. Make up your own reason: "Home lender wants to see card 0'd out."
