Getting a Delta Gold While a Current Amex Member

I don't know if this is a repost but.

I wanted to know what are my chances of Getting a American Express Delta Gold Card?

I Already have all Applied Around April 2013

American Express Premier Gold

American Express Jetblue ($3900) CL

American Express Blue $1,000

Never missed a late payment, The bad news is my FICO (600) has taken a hit because all the inquries and i have High Utilization. Im paying down my credit card debt this month so it should push my Fico to 650 in Janaury

I Just wanted to know will applying for a new Amex Card will they give me a break since, im already a member for 7 Months?

I doubt it. You have to get your CR in better shape before applying......boy, you must travel a lot....

If your score has taken a hit because of inquiries, then I'm not sure I'd take another inquiry right now.

A score of 600 seems kind of low for most prime cards.

Also, if you travel a lot, and get a new CC with a low CL, then it might not be of much practical value.

Unfortunately, with a score that low I would say chances are slim to none. Also, I would stay off Amex radar until my cr has recovered.

You should wait a bit. To answer your other question, whether AMEX gives any consideration if you are already a member, answer is a big YES!!!!

Though 7 months worth of relationship is little short. They approved me for Platinum and Hilton Honors when my Utilization was hovering over 90%... so I guess it was only current standing relationship with them that really got me those cards.
