Getting back in Chase's good graces

Hey guys, I wanted to get your opinions on my current credit situation with Chase.  I had a fairly nice portfolio of cards with Chase, with excellent CLs as well.  I was an excellent customer from my point of view, always paid on time, in full, and ran about 50-60k/year through Chase.  They were always very nice when I needed to shift lines or open new accounts.  Fast forward to late last year and everything went south in a hurry.

I was carrying several high balances while developing another business (low fee or no fee BTs from other companies) and Chase completely freaked out by slashing my CLs by 50% or more.  I never called them since I was extremely angry at the time, but did call Amex and Citi and both upped my CLs and extended more credit as I needed it (even Barclays upped my CL).  At that point I basically topped off my rewards balances and threw my Chase cards in the safe until their AFs were due.

My balance are now paid off and my scores are mid to high 700s across all three CBs.  I'd like to open up another card or two eventually, but I'm wondering if it will lead to a airing of grievances so to speak with the lending dept and/or exec line.  Do you think 3 months has been enough time for things to calm down on their end?  Or should I wait a few more months?

I've always appreciated the advice I've gotten on here.  Thanks in advance.

I think you should call...you didn't do anything wrong like miss payments so it shouldn't be too bad speaking to them. The best of luck to you.

Re: Getting back in Chase's good graces

Thanks for the replies guys.  I ended up calling the exec line and speaking wih someone in the lending department.  They apologized for my frustration and that the decision was most likely made by a computer.  That said, they were unable to reinstate the lines without an additional credit inquiry since several months have passed.  They did reallocate some lines without a credit inquiry, so now I have a little breathing room on my CSP.  At this point I need to decide whether it's worth it to burn another inquiry (or two) to get my lines back, or just apply for a new card and start over.
