Whats your Utilization across all the cards?

@Anonymous on AmEx's reasons for denial, I would assume util is high, I make less than the OP and have a 12,400 CL on my BCP, 7500CL on my Blue Cash and the PR Gold. I also have 55k+ total avail revolving credit, but my util is @ 1%.
So I'd venture to guess the OP's util is high and spread out across several cards (just my speculation)

+1
Maybe they'll show some love when utilization is down.
Seeing how you only have 1 card other then Amex with a higher CL then Amex and util... I would say Amex won't give you more because you are to high on other cards and you almost have your highest CL with them. Pay it all down and they will probably rethink...
I couldn't find a source but I understand that Amex generally won't grant a credit line greater than 25% of your reported income. Thus, at $43K, your maximum credit line from Amex will be $10,750.

My income is 31,500 and I have 19,900 in revolving credit with AmEx, and that's not including my PR Gold that I can charge at least 7K on, already have.
So that's 26,900 at least I have with AmEx.
And yes on all 3 of my apps with AmEx, I have listed 31,500 as my total income.
ETA: I actually make a little more than that (roughly 35K) but I only listed 31,500 to be safe.

Got the same reason of denial and my credit utilization is at 1% with over 56K in revolving credit available. Income at 70K. Not sure what obligation to other creditors they talk about, I have two auto loans and a mortgage but no debt in credit cards.
This is probably the reason. Your secured debt is still factored in as factor when accessing profiles for CLI's.
