Re: Getting in with Citi

I can't believe it. An hour and a half spent doing estimates with a bathroom remodeler, and I come back to this! Smiley Surprised

Congrats --that's a nice card, and a great CL, especially from stingy Citi poopy-face. Nicely done.

I know what you mean, though.  It was sort of unexpected for me, as well, especially since I'm not much of a spontaneous apper.  I felt guilty for about 5 seconds when I was filling out the app, but it all went away when I saw $11,000.00. Smiley Very Happy

delta's airline lounge. part of the network of airline lounges. very cool place to get away from the crowds and enjoy a drink, internet, easy chairs, snacks, and all sorts of ammenities. not to mention airline employee's to help you with whatever questions, flight schedules, rebooking, and of course a bartender. of course the perks vary by location, but if your spending a few hours on a layover, or just want to get through security early and have someplace relaxing to chill it's a lot quieter and less crowded in the airline lounge.

one lounge we chilled out even had one of those massage chairs, can't recall which airport it was.

The Crown Room is the name of Delta Airlines airport lounges.  This card comes with a Priority Pass membership, which gets me access to something like 500 lounges, and it's the main reason I wanted the card in the first place.  Amex Platinum does the same thing for $450 a year, but you're limited to the lounges of the airlines you're actually flying on.  This one doesn't have that restriction, and it's only $125 a year (waived the first year), plus $24 per visit (but the first three visits are free).

Oh, and I get 15,000 ThankYou points to start, and 5 TYP per dollar on gas and groceries for two years, and 3 points per dollar on everything else for two years.

So overall, I think it's a better deal than Amex Plat.  I'm happy.

i looked at citi's terms (a while back) about the lounge access and in my case amex is a better deal cause citi's limits the amount of people, whereas amex all my kids (5) are included.
