Getting invitation while Opted out

Is that normal? Just got a Citi Diamond Preferred mailing with an invite code.

That's the first time in 5 years that I got a CITI

Re: Getting invitation while Opted out

I'm opted out and have all 3 CRAs frozen -- yet, just today, I got an invitation from Discover AND a bill from a CA for an account from about 18 years ago. Smiley Frustrated

Re: Getting invitation while Opted out

I Just got an invitation from Discover and I'm opted out. I think it may be because I tried to see if I had any offers from Discover. But the website took so long to load I closed it out before it finished.

OMG!  I received a settlement bill today from an 18 year old debt too.  And I did just that Dale...put it straight in the shredder!

Re: Getting invitation while Opted out

I opted out when I first started reading posts here, and have NOT received any offers. I can't even get info from a pre-approval site (incl AMEX, unfortunately) since I'm opted out.

It's a bit unsettling that people are getting stuff like this when opted out. Smiley Surprised

EQ FICO 750 | TU FICO 761 (Walmart) | EX FAKO 767 | Goal: 800+

Edits, funky spacing and spelling due to my iPad not getting along with the forum editor!

Almost scary. I have been opted out since 2008 and to get this CITI invite. How the heck do they even have my info?

Actually, I'm kind of like the guy in this old post (click here) that gets a kick from sending them a FOAD letter.  I did that recently with another dunning letter that came out of the woodwork from YEARS ago and that particular CA wrote me back a letter of apology and said they would never bother me again.
