Re: Getting peeved about reporting date

Even though 1-9% is ideal utilization, I don't subscribe to it and that is not for individual cards but overall.  I keep uti under 30%  definitely under 50 simply because I run a small biz and don't have time to micro manage. You onyl start taking hits on individ cards used to 90% of the limit regardless of what you overall is.

I thought the formula accounted for not only overall but individual card utilization?  You're saying it's just overall and not individual?

The 1-9 is overall for optimal uti. However, when any one card reports maxed its bad news

Re: Getting peeved about reporting date

For example I ran my C1 card up to 65%. not a whimper from FICO except to tell me about a balance increase.  My overall uti was stilll low but requested a CLI because I knew if I didn't I would be near max out ran which can hurt you as much as a collection

omg...I really hope chase didn't report my max outs to the cras.  I think I maxed them out about twice.  But it was before the closing date, so I don't know if it was reported.  Also, I didn't get charged an overlimit fee, so it probably isn't very likely.
