Hi guys, I just need some advice (like always XD)
so the situation is, abut 3 days ago, I applied for Chase Sapphire (NOT preferred) and got approved with $5K.
But then yesterday, i decided that Chase Sapphire Preferred (CSP) would suit me better.
so i actually applied for CSP yesterday, expecting rejection (since too frequent submittion).
but then i just found out that i was actualy approved for CSP with $5k CL also..
so here's my question; what should i do with Chase Sapphire..
i heard that you could move whole CL and close the card ..
which means would i (should i) transfer $5k CL from chase saphhire to CSP and close chase sapphire?
if i do so, would it inquire another HP ?
thanks guys !
or is it even possible to move $5k CL from chase sapphire to chase freedom?
They might not let you move all of it (only leave $500 left to leave the card open). I think you should try calling them up and explain your situation to them. Say that you wanted a card from them but then changed your mind and wanted their higher-end card. Two applications... and now you have two active TLs with them. Ask if they really would let you move all the CL over and close the card, if not, ask if you can PC (product change) the CS card to a Freedom (and maintain that same CL). They might have to do another HP and very quickly move the CL over and close the card, or it might be an easier matter of changing in their system (pretty sure it's easier to get a Freedom card than Sapphire, might be able to get away with no HP but I doubt it). If they had to make you apply for a 3rd card... hopefully you get approved! That would suck if you got denied!

thanks for reply ! i actuly have Chase freedom card already.....
i was wondering if they would transfer $5k limit from chase sapphire to freedom (which i already have with low CL)
so i just called chase credit analyst line to see what can be done.
Basically, they were very happy to help me with my requst.
so i closed my Chase Sapphire and moved ALL of its CL ($5K) to Chase freedom card !
they made it really simple and easy !
Congrats on getting a CLI of Freedom and the CSP

oh and btw, it looks like you have barclay card...
i have one as well but i dun use it so often because i am not sure abot their rewarding system..
where do u normally use your barclay card? gas ? shopping?
I have the same barclaycard (rewards) too. I just use it for statement credits. Can be done very easily, 1000 minimum points needed (full point value $10 credit).

Lucky! I have the NFL card, and the site says you have to have 2500 points minimum for a statement credit. So I have 2100 points just floating around doing nothing
