I was feeling a little battered by a recent account being closed due to product termination, so I went over to Citi and hit the little button that requests an increase.
Five seconds later, I was approved for $1,200 more so I took the offer!
There is even a screen that says it's a soft pull.
I've had the account for less than a year but they obviously see something about me that they like. Give the button a shot, it seemed to work when I hit it.....
It feels good right? I just got 1,200 myself on 7-22-09. Unfortunately, this feature is available every 3 months through Citi (which is much better than every 6 months).
Keep on playing nice, Citi will return the favor!

I guess they don't like me very much. I've had a Citi card for 6 years and have never gotten an increase. When I try that button I get "the screen" that asks for info. That means a hard pull. No thanks. I don't need a CLI that badly.

Just so that everyone reading this knows:
When you click the luv button ("Request a CLI") on a Citi account, if a screen comes up that is a form, where you have to fill in personal info, income, etc., that is NOT a pre-approval, and you'll get a hard. Maybe you'll get the CLI, maybe not.
Whereas if you click the luv button and you get a message stating essentially, we love you, and here's all this extra money that we want to give you, don't you want it?? --that's a Citi pre-approval, soft only, and if you click and accept, you've got it.

LOL. I have no idea how long that message was there. Probably like 2 years before I even clicked it, and it was cause of this forum that I did. 4500 CLI since then.

Well you're not alone. :-(
Everything should be that easy.
