Just checked out my EQ report last night and it has AMEX listed - IT's NOT the 2 new AMEX accounts - Blue and Clear - which I'm waiting to report to the CR. AMEX seems to take a few months to report - anyone know this?
Anyways - after paying off an old account (17 yrs) - I was invited to the Oasis program. While waiting for the paperwork I went online and got an Amex. They cancelled my Oasis program Optima card stating that I can only be in this program if I don't already have an exisiting relationship with Amex. That's cool. So I went online and got CLEAR. Super happy with both cards.
THE GOOD NEWS is that AMEX showed up on my report yesterday with postitive status, (it was a green charge card back then) -paid and zero balance and ****IT GAVE ME THE 17 YEARS OF HISTORY ****
I pulled my FICO scores to see if that translated and it did. It bumped up my years from 9 to 17.
YIPPEE!!!! That was a really nice surprise. Since I'm not in the Oasis program with a card that had the "member since 1989, I just thought "oh well - I'll never see that history again"......
I"M SO HAPPY.
