Goodbye BoA, Hello HSBC!

Well, BoA decidded to close all my cards except one leaving me with a $2,500.00 credit line, and 28.99% intrest rate. So I decided to ty the HSBC pre-approval link today, and sure enough I was approved for the ecoSmartMaster Card with a $2,500 line at 17.74% intrest and 6 months 0%. Hopefully HSBC will grow with me so I can try and get back the $20k line that BoA took away from me.

Yikes! How'd you get on BofA's fecal list? Or was it a random dartboard type of thing?

Re: Goodbye BoA, Hello HSBC!

HSBC is no better.

I had a $1000 limit with a high balance for over a year, always paid on time.

I paid it off last Sept, and to my surprise they just cut my limit to $300 last month.

2 other cards I paid off at the same time actually increased my limit, so I cancelled my HSBC.

Re: Goodbye BoA, Hello HSBC!

I've had HSBC since 2003 and never got an auto increase. Had to ask for

and take a hard hit for my two clis.  One for 400 and one for 500.  So now I've been at 1900

for years.  Interest is at  29 %.  No luv at all.

On the other hand my CU gave me 2500cli after one year.

Hope you have better luck.

Re: Goodbye BoA, Hello HSBC!

I'm really wishing my CU offered credit cards... seems all the big banks are terrible.
