Goodbye, Wells - Hello NFCU, Thanks MyFico!

My changeover from Wells Fargo to NFCU is also going to be completed this week, but I don't have any animosity towards Wells. They're just a regular bank, no better or worse than the rest imo. But their ATMs are light years ahead of any credit union ATM. Having to deposit cash in an envelope at a credit union network ATM and waiting 5 days for it to clear was utter torture!

I might have kept my WF checking if there wasn't a Navy branch 30 min away.

Congrats on your success with NFCU and thans for the warning on WF.  I've been looking for an alternate to Chase,  but reading all the posts look like WF won't be on the maybe list.

I think all brick and mortar banks are all the same. Low interest savings rates and fees if you don't direct deposit or have an minimum balance

Thats great! What did WF say when you mentioned the reason of your departure from their bad business?

My experiences with WF mirror the comments on this page. I had checking, savings, CD's, Loan Note, Investments, Insurances and Credit Card. Unimpressed and moved everything to other providers. There will be no return to Wells. Yes, I do have hard feelings when they shifted their insurances and didn't bother to inform me so I had no clue and received laspe notices. Handled all of the moves myself and went back to a general insurance agency. I am still mad and that happened in 2010. They apologised. Lot of good that did me if I had had a loss. No more one stop banking and I use two banks just in case one of them decides to get stupid!
