I'm REALLY wanting thins account -- I do a LOT of In App Purchases AND Google Pay transactions.
1) Can I use it to send money to other people through Google Pay?
2) Does anyone in here HAVE IT? Do you like it?
3) I'm sitting with about a 690-710 credit score -- 3 total accounts on file. 1) 11 year old TD Bank Toshiba account @ $4,500 CL & 0% utl; 2) 2 year old Capital One QS MC @ $400 CL & 60% utl; 3) 4 Month old Macy's Store Card @ $15,000 CL & 1% utl...
Total utl. <3%
Inq. 1-3 each bureau. Avg of 2 each.
Income is $75,000 annually solo or $250,000 annually household.
Do I have a good shot?
Any idea what my limit may be?
Also WHERE DO I APPLY? I can't figure it out... I found an Apply button but it won't load... Link me please?
Note: This is not for myself, but for my spouse.
The Google Store card is from Synchrony. From what I can tell, the only benefits are interest-free purchases of Google-branded hardware.
I have it. I opened it up when I applied for 0% financing on a phone. I've used it twice so far for phones and once on a purchase of a phone case. For the former, I love it, since some purchases I rather pay over time at 0% than pay upfront and get cashback. I would have used a regular credit card for the phone case, but I had like $3 leftover from a Google credit and I decided to just pay with that account since the information was already there.
I couldn't tell you what scores they are looking for, unfortunately. I'm also not sure what else you can use the account for besides Google phones and accessories. I applied during the purchase transaction of my previous phone. My current limit is $2,700, and I don't know if it was lower when starting it; it wasn't something I cared about back then and all I cared about was getting 0% financing. I wasn't even aware it was credit account since I thought it would only be open for my phone and be like a mini loan. That and Dell cost me 5/25 slots.... oh well.
I'm hoping Google comes out with a credit card someday like Apple. There are rumors about a Google debit card, but I'd prefer credit, personally.

I mean any reason why spouse wouldnt want to get like a discover , amex or chase card. I mean seems a little silly too me and you can only use it for promotional purchases for google hardware i think with those scores and income could easily get a 5K SL or high with any of those banks.

Right, this card doesn't seem to do what you want.
For Google Play, probably better to buy Google Play gift cards at a supermarket with a suitable credit card to get a discount (assuming we aren't talking huge amounts on Google Play!) For good rewards on Google Pay, the Altitude Reward earns 3% (or 4.5% for travel) on all mobile wallet payments.
Is the financing option on the Google store listed on your credit report as a credit card or as a "consumer financing account" like Samsung Financing? In the fine print I see that it says "Google Store Financing credit card account" which leads me to believe it's a credit card. I'm really interested in getting the new Pixel 5 along with some Nest products and want to make sure it won't hurt me in the long term as a CFA would.
Google Store Financing is a Synchrony Bank store card.
I'm not sure if it is listed differently in my actual credit report, but Chase's Credit Journey lists it as a "revolving charge account".

I tend to stay away from any products that have "Financing" built into their name, it just reminds me of all those old time Loan Shark type lenders.
In this case it's just a store card, not a consumer financing account, so will a big enough purchase(I don't think even that big) will get the zero percent APR, and a credit line likely bigger then their purchase.
I don't think they give particular big credit lines though, probably just given the likelihood of fraud for those requesting a bigger credit line.
