thank you I will wait until my score hits 680
It won't be long now bro.
all my cc'c are under %15 of the balance
OP - I would heed Lexie and Swapmeet's guidance. Not much that can be done at the moment except improve your overall profile.
For best score results, only let a balance report on one card, for under 10% of your total credit lines.
ok I will paid all cc to zero balance except one cc. I will let you know what happens
I have similar scores to you, and was just approved for a 750 limit, which is the highest limit I have. My oldest negative hit on my file is 5 years old. When I started the rebuilding process, I was told one of the best things I could do was to open a secured installment loan for over 2k. I went to my local bank, gave them 2k and they gave me the loan. My other two CC's are less than 8 months old, both with 300 limits. I think Barclays took my 2k installment loan into account when approving me. It makes my credit limit look higher.
I was denied a Walmart card six months ago, and it bummed me out. So today I applied and was approved for 500. Keep in mind that as time passes, the less you'll get denied. My highest Fiko score is 642, so you're close. Barclays also denied me back in May.
I am not even close to a credit expert, but I recently dealt with Barclays too.
I did it a different way though.
I applied for a couple store cards first. Victoria secret/walmart/macy's/target.....Then applied to Barclay. I was denied online. SO i waited 2 days and was actually calling to beg and plead for them to remove the HP from my credit. Once I told them I applied and was calling about my app, the lady asked me a few basic questions to identify myself, and said 'please hold a second' ....came back with 'Mr. XXXX I went ahead and got you approved for this card, you should see it and a welcome packet in the mail within 1-2 weeks'.
But...one of the questions she asked me was 'Your credit shows only one credit card.....do you have more? I answered yes, listed them, and she said Okay!'.
That being said, maybe some store credit cards would do you a favor? Not that I recommend going out and applying to every store in the area. Do your homework, and see which stores are the easiest to get credit at. Apply and get those, wait a week then call barclays back and see if they change their mind.?!?
Just got approve for a Walmart card $400. THanks took your advice!
