I agree with this completely. Also, as it has already been mentioned, you can order a custom image card. I selected one of the stock Capital One images for my card and it looks great.

Too cheap to print out decent cards, too cheap for CLIs, too cheap to hire employees who can really do anything about your account. The employees who can do PCs and CLIs are hidden away in the EO department. Too cheap to handle affairs in a normal manner so instead they conduct their business through Facebook PMs like some college kid. About the only thing they spend money on is triple hard pulls.
And for the final insult they denied my cusomized card image because the subject of my photo was a woman whose shirt collar was about 2 millimeters off the shoulder. I guess they found that too suggestive, huh. I can't wait to douse this card with gasoline and set it ablaze.
...you forgot to mention they do spend big money on marketing such as paying Samuel L Jackson to yell at us about the glories of 1.5% cashback on ANY purchase ANY time!

although I get your point on the looks, but does it really matter? Since when is the credit card supposed to be considered a "fashion statement"? That was never the idea... as someone mentioned here, I'd rather have a cardboard looking card that gives me rewards, than a kick ass looking card which costs me money to keep in the wallet.

This is what I came here to say.

I got a $5000 increase recently just by hitting the button. Soft pull for 5k isn't half bad. So, in my experience they're not cheap. Now, if it's your credit profile that's getting these undesirable results, that would be the thing to work on instead of engaging in arson.
