I used to tell people you can not have more than one CC card based on citibank T&C. After reading This I thought I would try myself out to see it is really work. I just called to convert my R+ to CC and boom it's there after I finished calling with their converting specialist and also was told account number will not change.
1st card applied Nov2021
2nd card sucessfully converted today Apr2022
Cool! So there's a backdoor via PC? Nice find!
I'm guessing this will be reported on Reddit fairly soon and then lots of people there will start using it. At some point Citi will notice and patch their software to shut the back door. How quickly all that will happen is unknowable. So anyone who wants to do this should act soon.
While I'm starting to plot some upcoming apps this summer, I'm hoping to glean some clarity regarding Citi PC's and holding multiple Custom Cash cards. Given the DP's on Doc, Reddit, and MF, it's quite clear that there does not seem to be a limit on the possiblity of doing multiple PC's to this card, and that it can be done from any of their products, whether core or co-branded, except for Costco (of course, my luck).
If i was to wait for the Premier's 80k sub to return and go for it, would I have to wait a year and PC it after the AF posts? Alternatively, if I applied for a DC/Rewards+/AA card, how long I would have to wait to convert it to a CC?
Thanks for any insights!

Somewhat embarassing to start a topic and answer my own question...
For those who may also be interested, a Citi CSR confirmed that once you open a new account (with or without an AF), it must age one year before being converted to a Custom Cash or another product.
Also for what it's worth, I also threw a few hail Mary questions and received these interesting answers:

While yes, you can continuously open accounts to PC with Citi, it may not be a winning long-term strategy with Citi to milk SUBs and have numerous copies of the same card where you only use it for the least-profitable transactions. They have certainly begun to institute anti-churning measures at least for AA and TYP cards in recent years, and I wouldn't expect them to not expand those restrictions.
I would be surprised if they didn't reintroduce Prestige again, of course now with 50% more nerfs. I tried to PC to it before the last re-release of it right when they pulled new apps, and had the same issue where even after being transferred to a credit analyst, I could literally have PCed my Diamond Preferred to any card past or present in the Citi lineup other than Prestige.

Also for what it's worth, I also threw a few hail Mary questions and received these interesting answers:
- Can I product change to the Dividend card? No, and the CSR indicated that in addition to it being closed to new apps and conversions for quite a while, the Dividend will be going away soon (she couldn't specify whether not current cardholders would get auto-PC'd to something else)
- Can I convert my Costco card to a CC? Still no.
- Will the Prestige be coming back, be modified, or can I PC to it? No, no, and no.
Thanks for the data point regarding Citi Dividend. I have been expecting them to completely discontinue this product. I constantly receive email and online pop-up messages encouraging me to convert to a Rewards+ card (which would be of almost no use to me). The same type of tactics occurred shortly before Citi discontinued the Forward card. I will plan to request a conversion to Custom Cash before they auto-PC me to Rewards+.
I'll definitely miss Dividend when Citi decides to pull the plug much the same way with the Forward CC. There are a a few others that I've heard will be discontinued in the not-so-distant future.
So since that Costco card can't PC to anything, if u were to ever cancel your Costco membership, then the credit card would have to be closed?

Pretty much so @collics.
From their CCA/T&C's:
Annual Membership Fee: None
About the Fee: There is no annual membership fee for this credit card. We will close your Account if you do not maintain a Costco membership.
