I only have 2 store cards left on my want list from BK...Nordstroms and Tiffany & CO. ( I have everything else back that I had and more).
T&CO BL like the plague, especially if they were IIB, which they were They will not even "consider" your application until BK is completely OFF all 3 CRA. Scores have to be minimum 740+(straight from the credit department). This will be a goal card and challenge for 2023....moving on
Nordstroms... I will have in my wallet this Christmas, mark my words. Called in to the credit department and spoke with a nice gentleman about their policy post BK, and explained my past and bk etc...and :"inquired" about having them back, and being reconsidered for another chance. long story short...guy told me that if I apply, my old IIB acct is flagged in their system with my SSN, so it would be autodeclined immediatly, but there was "ways around that". He put a "special" long kind note on my acct, so when I do apply this Chrstmas, the CS rep can call into the credit department, and they will see the note from the guy, who made recommendations in his note for reapproval He told me that his note will stay on my acct in their system for 2 years
Im waiting till Christams because I want time away from my new accts, and scores to recover a tad.
I know there are a lot of store card haters out there, who will never understand why people like myself want them, but its a challenge, and I LOVE Nordies!!LOL...

LMAO!!! That will be my only escape...Im prewarning everyone now about it so its not too much of a shock when you see me in the approvals section LOL!!
I mean absolutely no disrespect but instead of planning on getting a new card 8+ months from now it really seems like you should be taking a break from all this and gardening. (I don't know if December is long enough, but that's just an opinion)
Building credit is important -- no question. However, you can't let it consume you. It is simply a way to pay for things, and a score that reflects your ability to do so responsibly. Is it important? Yes. Do you need to revolve every day around it and worry about what card you'll get in December when we aren't even halfway through April (when who knows what will have come out by then that could be more exciting)? In my opinion, no.
I think you are best suited to stick to the 2 year gardening plan and in my opinion, with all due respect, you should probably take a break from this site. I mean that in the nicest way possible and not as an attack. It just seems you would benefit to focus on other things for the time being :-) just my opinion and advice. There are other things in life you can miss out on enjoying if you are spending too much time worrying about credit cards (or any other hobby/interest/thing)

2%
And the goal is to not need store cards to prop up utilization.
Me for example, only 9% of my total CL is comprised of store cards of any kind.
I dont need 90% of my cards for util...its a want thing Nixon! Its a challenge, plus eventually that store card I can upgrade to Visa

appareciate your thoughts, but I did take a break, now Im back Again, Im tired of repeating myself, but, unless you have been through a catostrophic credit rebuild, you have no idea whats its like to want credit back, knowing that your previous creditors are BL you, as they should. Its a goal...a challenge... a want or need, and each person in their credit journey whether rebuilding or not, has different goals, which should be respected.
Really now
