My oldest card is 4 months old. I tried bunch of sites, and the only one im getting is fingerhut pop up with pre approval for measily $180. No other sites give me anything so far

It is best that they don't work.

No, really. Unless you actually plan to shop at ANY of these places.

Never.  Why would I want a finger hut account?  I started with really low scores (563), and got a secured card from a credit union.  I hadn't even found this site yet, just watched a suze orman show with someone in same credit situation like moi.  11 months later, sent pre approval for sub prime card.  After 12 billing statements, the sub prime is cancelled, in October the secured card graduated.  I would never shop at fingerhut, would rather use cash back paypal debit with amazon prime membership (which I did for 6 years) than get store card.

JMHO, YMMV, etc

+1

Though if they have no other options and they don't wanna get sucked into toy junk card hell or First Premier, Fingerhut might be one of the few options out there unfortunately.

Popa, you changed colors. Smiley Wink

Why are people always so negative towards Fingerhut? Maybe it's the only option some people have. Everyone background is not the same. So negative smh

Not so negative, it's not the only option.  To show usage and payment history, you pay 200% of retail.  For that money, save up for secured card.  Much better results, especially when you get your reports clean.  My background as low as you can go.  Took 5 years to get to mid 500's.  Better to have paypal cash back card, learn money management (from getting in trouble in first place), and save for secured bank card, than to have fingerhut.  JMHO.

Easy approvals are easy for a reason.

Fingerhut and the rest of the peanut gallery are not your only option for rebuilding/building and frankly if one cannot afford $200-500 for a proper secured card then they really need to reassess whether they are actually ready for credit or not.

Never bothered with it or need it.  I have no need/want for any stores cards.

Everyone's background isn't the same but FIngerhut is never the only option.  One could certainly reach that conclusion with insufficient due diligence though.
