HIGHEST UTILIZATION

NOW THAT THE HOLIDAYS ARE OVER I AM SURE MANY HAVE BEEN CHARGING--WHAT YOUR HIGHEST UTILIZATION--AND WHATS UR STRATEGY TO PAY IT DOWN---ACTUALLY MY HIGHEST CARDS ARE MY WALMART AND MACYS PLACE SINCE THEY WERE THE CARDS WITH THE LOWEST LIMITS THEY WERE BOTH UP ABOUT 50 PERCENT BUT I PLAN TO PAY THEM DOWN TO 25 PERCENT IF NOT ZERO PERCENT THIS MONTH AND ANY REMAINING BALANCE WILL BE PAID BEFORE FEBRUARY REPORTING

WHEN FICOS PULLED WAS CURRENTLY AVERAGING A USE OF 25% TOTAL MY GOAL IN 2008 IS TO MANAGE BETWEEN 0 TO 15 PERCENTAGE TOTAL AVERAGE PER MONTH

Re: HIGHEST UTILIZATION

Wow, during holidays my ccs were not used at all. Paid for all purchases by debit, or check. I also have a holiday club account that I deposit 30 a week with my cu. Got those funds in end of nov.Smiley Happy

Re: HIGHEST UTILIZATION

I spent $320 for X-mas--I had to test drive the new Citi. Other than that I do not go over board, as I buy all year long, not just for one day. Besides there is a day after X-mas, I say there is no need to go broke behind this one day and have to stress to payoff CC debt the rest of the year--I have been there and done that. I am going to pay off 300 next week probably, and let 20 report.

Re: HIGHEST UTILIZATION

I spent $400 on cc's and will pay all but $7 before next statements close therefore UTL will be 1%.

I did not spend with the intention of carrying balances.

Re: HIGHEST UTILIZATION

jaybee I hope to be like that for Christmas of 2008----I think I managed pretty well this year though--in all I plan to have all my debt erased before February's reporting ---I am currently averaging about 25-30 percent UTI will try to be down to 15 percent by Jan and down even lower 1-10 percent in Feb

Even though they are not as low as you want them to be, under 30 is still good, I have seen people max out there CC's for X-mas (which in m opinion is a potential set-up for disaster) , they complain and then go into 08 with stress--so I say you are doing good. Like I mentioned in my PP, I am over doing that.

I said I would spend $300 whether it was 3 or 30 people.I only went over $20.
