People have in the past been approved for 2 cards on a single pull but nothing is guaranteed so if the card has value for you then you shoud be prepared to accept another HP if it happens

Re: HILTON AMEX

There will always be two HP. If the two HP happen on the same day and are from exactly the same entity, then the CB combines them into one HP. Remember, it is always the CB not the bank that combines the pulls.

Re: HILTON AMEX

the credit reports don't automatically combine pulls. even if they happen simultaneously. that's why people still get triple pulled twice from cap1 with other examples available if really needed. also, it's not the CRAs responsibility to combine them (doubt they even legally can)

what you may be thinking of is if you get many HPs that are of the same category they aren't COUNTED against you as much (i.e. car shopping) but all pulls still show up. it's the discretion of the creditor to pull you once or more if you apply for more credit.

Re: HILTON AMEX

You are misinformed. Multiple pulls on the same day from the same entity are registered as a single HP. Again, it has to be exactly the same entity. Some banks, for example Chase, have multiple offices. Pulls for some cards come from one office while other cards from another. If you apply for such cards on the same day (assuming Chase lets you), it will show up as two HP. If you apply for cards where chase sends the inquiry from the same address, the CB will combine the pull into one - and I don't mean that it will count as one, they actually only show up as one.

What happens is, if multiple pulls come to a CB that looks exactly the same (same date, same name, same address, etc.), the CB will think it is a duplicate and delete the second HP. It is a common misconception that the card issuers combine the pulls, but that's not what happens in practice.

Re: HILTON AMEX

on my QS and venture combo i got a triple pull once and TU twice... doesn't make sense that two out of 3 would (combine)

also credit unions are far different for the most part.
