HSBC / ORCHARD

I have an unpaid CO with HSBC, if I would apply to Orchard for one of their credit builder cards, would they have access to that info?  I don't want to re-age or open any old wounds, but trying to find options.

Re: HSBC / ORCHARD

HSBC is normally more than happy to issue cards to those with prior bad history with them. I'm living proof.

Re: HSBC / ORCHARD

HSBC bought up Orchard and Household sometime back. So yes, I am pretty certain they will have access to this. Whether or not they may hold it against you, I don't know. Have you tried to fill in your info on the pre-selector to see if they offer you a card?

I had a co with orchard and got a hsbc card. I've heard they do forgive.

Yes, hsbc forgives…however, they seem to hold old chargeoffs against you. how do I know? well, old hsbc chargeoffs (x2). Got an orchard cc in early 07, roughly 6+ yrs after the hsbc chargeoffs. Never late, overlimit, missed pay, etc. on the orchard cc. # of clis? ZERO. I’ve read that while hsbc forgives, they have a LONG memory and supposedly if you burn them, you may NEVER get a cli. Time of ‘cli lockdown’ varies, but I’m nearing the 2 yr mark W/O any sign of a cli, so I tend to think their ‘blacklist for cli’ theory is true.

I see things a little differently.  With one card gone bad back in 02Smiley Sad, I reapplied in 07 and got a 300 CL with 59AF. Today CL1000Smiley Wink.  No late, but had to call the $#forCLI and paid 10dollars for 100 increase.  I thought it was fair since I defaulted with the first card.  Let them get some of their money back via fees, BTW they will do it, get their money via fees.
