I have an unpaid CO with HSBC, if I would apply to Orchard for one of their credit builder cards, would they have access to that info? I don't want to re-age or open any old wounds, but trying to find options.
HSBC bought up Orchard and Household sometime back. So yes, I am pretty certain they will have access to this. Whether or not they may hold it against you, I don't know. Have you tried to fill in your info on the pre-selector to see if they offer you a card?

I had a co with orchard and got a hsbc card. I've heard they do forgive.
I see things a little differently. With one card gone bad back in 02
, I reapplied in 07 and got a 300 CL with 59AF. Today CL1000
. No late, but had to call the $#forCLI and paid 10dollars for 100 increase. I thought it was fair since I defaulted with the first card. Let them get some of their money back via fees, BTW they will do it, get their money via fees.
