Are they related to the Sears/Citi people who gave HTSU her $1,212 CL?

Re: HSBC Offer:

I thought BENEFICIAL  and HFC were legal loan sharks.   I keep getting loan offers from CAP 1 but at a decent int. rate.  Don't need loan though.

Re: HSBC Offer:

Purple Haze, this was when we were poor, in college, a new baby, and working for minimum wage. Way before you were born, no insult intended. Smiley Happy

As memory serves me correctly, DH had to borrow $400 to make ends meet. Made payments on time for about 6 months and skipped a payment. They came at us with a vengence...even sent people to our apartment looking for money.

The $400 quickly escalated to $600, then $800. It capped around $1,000. By then I was out of school, spouse had a decent job, and we entered into an agreement of 3 equal payments, after the account was frozen.

Never again.

Re: HSBC Offer:

you can pay and pay and pay......................and pay some more.  If you miss one they might send someone (like Tony Saprano) to your house. LOL
My sister had one with them.  Back off--there must be another way.

Re: HSBC Offer:

you're supposed to ask this forum before you do stuff not after.  Well i hope you pay it off asap.  what's the interest rate.  Did you sign more than 20 forms?  They might take your first born.
Hendrix would never have done this.  LOL

Re: HSBC Offer:

If you weren't looking for a loan before you got this offer in email, why would you think about taking out a loan now?

Even if it wasn't some skeevy CFL that is going to be the financial equivalent of a self-inflicted enema.
