Re: HSBC Questions..

I don't trust them so i won't hit the button.  Do you have high interest rates?  Merrick is the highest but HSBC runs a close second.  But Merrick gives good clis especially if you use it alot.
Orchard was pretty good about automatic clis.

Yes my interest rate is criminal, 19.99 w/ 4.6k limit.  I logged in, looked at my account, hit the pre-luv button and saw where they MAY pull your credit.  I backed out of the window..  very slowly.

I need the CLI for two reasons:
1.  My limits are low and I keep getting that message something like, "we trust you -- sorta".
2.  I'm in the process of staging a house to sell, replacing appliances and carpet, while at the same time purchasing ALL appliances for a new house.  I refuse to keep $$ in my checking account, so I'm forced to charge it, come home, and pay in full after transferring $.  Oh if Home Depot only knew what they were missing!!!

One (OT) success story however is my fridge for the new house.  I got the Samsung Quattro in platinum.  It lists for something crazy like 2600 but I got it for 1600!  It's amazing!

Re: HSBC Questions..

Do you have good fico scores?  I just got a 5000 from CCCU with 10. interest.  They seem to be popular with people on this site.  Check it out under credit cards.  Timothy is very helpful in this area.
Glad to hear about the fridge.

You must be mint to get 4600 from HSBC.
Can't you get a home depot or lowes card.  Someone can tell you who they use.  For instance Best Buy is HSBC.
Help anyone????

Yes I like that "welcome to the family" and the very personal touch.  Have you gotten an increase from them?

Ficos (as of the +/-10 days) TU 657, EX 662 and EQ 618

I'm swearing off CUs at the moment - that's the cause of my $1 derogatory and as you can see my EQ is a bit scary.  (Yes I know, it's MY fault that I underpaid by a $1, but I've tried to get some guidance from the CU as to how to go about rectifying the situation.)  EQ is the only CRA that shows the $1 as derog, shows both collections from 04 and has 7 inq over the past two years, 5 in the past 3 months  (GMAC =3, MTG = 1 and the Home Depot MC = 1).

I am definitely NOT mint, but I may call and see about lowering the APR at the very least.

Thanks for the response!
