Finally - HSBC January posted!

Not sure if it's showing up for everyone else, but TU is now showing my two HSBC accounts as updated for January.

Good thing it's only half way through February!  Smiley Happy

Re: Finally - HSBC January posted!

Well, this is interesting... Apparently, HSBC reports on the 14th, but they report the balance from the last day of the previous month.  I would have assumed they would report the last statement balance or the balance on the day the report (both of which would have been $0!!!), but no, they reported the EOM balance which was 33% utilization on one card and 100% on the other.  Well, lesson learned.  Thanks to this site, I now pay attention to what day they report and what they are reporting.  I'll be adding that info to my spreadsheet tracker.  I had planned to put my 2 HSBC cards in the sock drawer anyway so they'll have a $0 balance whatever day they decide to report!

By the way, EX is the only CRA that reported the new balance so far (pulling from Chase ID).

Re: Finally - HSBC January posted!

HSBC has always (2 years at least) report the balance on the last weekday of the month-

Re: Finally - HSBC January posted!

Well, I just pulled a new report from Equifax and HSBC still has not updated my payments.  The last reported was Dec 2007. Since then I have had a credit line increase and also paid down the balance.  It is not showing any of that, still shows almost maxed.

Re: Finally - HSBC January posted!

I would have to agree with the problem being with HSBC.  I got a big credit line increase and paid down my balance to below 5% in January.

THey have not reported Feb or March, so no score increase.

I called them and they said "automatically update at the end of every month"  Not so!!!

Captial One also gave me a big increase over the phone (I used back door number).  I asked them right then and there to update my information (in the middle of a cycle)  and they did.

HSBC needs to do the right thing.

I pulled EX a few days ago and my newest HSBC entry is 2/28. I thought the amounts were off then realized the date of there last posted date.

Re: HSBC Reporting Slowly?

I would have to complain as well, HSBC has not updated my CR's eaither, last reported in jan end of march i got a CL increase, and my balance is well below what is being reported right now,
i called them today and asked why they havent updated, the guy told me they report at the end of each month, well apparently not, cause its been a few months now and no update, i think tomarrow i will call back ans ask  for a supervisor and try to get him/her to update my report. if they would update it i bet my fico would go up.
