HSBC and myFICO scores different

So I just applied for a HSBC credit card (thought I was doing a soft pull, didn't read the fine print, I shouldn't be on here before I've had any coffee) and was denied citing an EQ score of 562. My myFICO EQ score is 639 as of june 2nd. Why so different? Should I recon?

Re: HSBC and myFICO scores different

It is most likely one of the  FAKO enhanced scores and not a true FICO, what were the score ranges that they gave you?

Current Scores EQ (697) Tu (740) EX (705) Amex pull

Re: HSBC and myFICO scores different

perhaps you should've checked the HSBC pre-approval link (it is a SP) and see the results before applying! too late now, but you should definitely recon since you took the hit! GL!
