HSBC

Had this car sicne 2004 orginial CL 300 was rebuilding credit after bankrupty however just got a credit increase in Sept of 100 so now 400--got a letter in the mail 2 wks later advising CL was changed to 500 however it never changed called them about this and they advised me since I had already rcvd a CL increase within 90 days the increase was VOID___I thought this was soooo wack--however I have mailed a letter into the VP of credit services directly to his desk--I got a call from executive services on Friday and they advised they understood my frustrations and would look into the matter and call me back...now I need some opinions?

I only owe 100.0 on the card whih I can may at anytime and will likely pay off next week..but for one I have no desire to sure the card  anymore--would you keep the card and just not sure it if no increase of CL---which I feel is well deservced considering I have gotten new cards with limits over 1500 low utilization on all of them....I am just trying to build credit n ot destroy it---would you ever eventually close it since its no added value..l..besides length of credit history.......

I am SO not liking this card and their services right now.... Smiley Sad

Re: HSBC

You've had this card three years and only a 200.00 CL?  What is on your reports? If you are in a good spot I say dump em.  If the limit is 300.00 it probably has an annual fee.

Re: HSBC

HSBC is on my cutting block as well.

They are now PIF- and nothing is going to be done until CLI or get chopped.

Re: HSBC

Are there any annual and/ or monthly fees --is it costing you money as well as aggravation?

What will happen to your overall util if you close it and lose the $400 or $500 CL? Sounds like with your other cards, you should be OK, but make sure that your util doesn't jump.

If it's not working for you, and if it won't hurt you to close it, then flush!

There you go! As long as you don't have fees, you might as well punish them for lousy service with the sock drawer and slurpee treatment! Good plan Smiley Wink
