Re: Has Hooters /Merrick changed their underwriting standards?????

Ok, I'll bite...I'm so 1960 and my hooters are still fine.  When they become unfine, I'm going to use my hooters card to get them fixed up.

On another note,  I'm just happy I got in *ontime*.

Re: Has Hooters /Merrick changed their underwriting standards?????

Got my HOOTERS in January thought I would be denied for too much new credit and inquires but I wasnt got 1500 limit with NO AF--Maybe they take in account Income, # of open lines of credit and the balances ??? Who knows every company different---Someone may have a lower credit score but 1 or none (credit cards) that may make them feel a little more comfortable lending the credit (less to manage) then they may look at large numbers of credit and history and feel someone has great managing skills and lend them the higher amounts---underwriting for everything is usually a gamble but most always there is criteria--I am an underwriter for insurance--but not every familar with Credit card underwriting (wish I was) Smiley Happy

Re: Has Hooters /Merrick changed their underwriting standards?????

I was approved online instantly a couple of weeks ago and got my card last week.  I got a $500 credit limit and, evidently, a $72 AF.  Ugh...Not pretty, but at least it's another TL and until I can get a prime card, I guess it will do.  Cap 1, Orchard, Chevron, and now the Hooters card.  At least they're all unsecured.  Smiley Wink

Thanks!  I thought for sure Hooters would say yes to me since HSBC was so generous but guess not. Oh well,  my app spree is over for at least a year.

Re: Has Hooters /Merrick changed their underwriting standards?????

I was all excited about getting a Hooters card..(just got it last week)..
not what I had hoped for..$1000 limit (yes I wanted more like everyone else had been getting!)
I think I was at 678 Tu with 1 collection (now gone ) no lates , 1pr.
It took 21 days to get the card !
Far as I'm concerned I wasted an inquiry Smiley Mad

I don't think Hooters is what it used to be.
