Has Macys/ Citi changed CLI timeline?

I've been on a 32 day schedule with these CLIs for a while now, each time adding 2k or more to my CL. Most recently tried on day 32, declined - insufficent time since last review. And then yesterday (about a week later), declined with same reason given. Might seem silly but I look forward to these every month bc it's been an easy grower lol

I don't believe there has been any change to the timeline. Same thing happened to me. I was on a 32 day schedule up until July then all of a sudden I will always get declined for either "insufficient time since last review" or "too many recent request with us or an affiliate." More precisely, my last increase occurred July 30 (online) and I wasn't approved again until October 1st (first tried online but got prompted to call and speak to an agent). All increases has been in $6k increments. Hope this helps

Re: Has Macys/ Citi changed CLI timeline?

Many years ago I stupidly closed my Macys account when I was annoyed with a late fee.  Two months ago I opened a new account, paid off two statements and reached platinum status but when I click on request credit line increase I receive the message "service unavailable."  Does anyone know how long someone needs to have a new account before they will entertain their monthly increases?

It took 1yr and 3months before Macy's entertained or approved any CLI request with my new account. Granted my previous account was closed for BK7 filing and I had burned them for up north of $50k. Also, just because you're unable to process the request online doesn't necessarily mean you're ineligible for an increase. The online option is known to be wonky sometimes. If you've had your account for at least 61 days, you may call in and make the request with an agent. They will inform you whether or not a credit report will be pulled but it's almost always a SP.  Ask for an increase in the multiples of $6k. They will always counter if they're unable to approve the full amount requested.

Im at 18k, so I figure only 2 more increases til I reach max. I guess I'll try 60 days out.

Keep in mind $25k isn't the max limit. Speaking from firsthand knowledge, my previous Macy's Amex card had a $50k limit and they never requested any POI for all CLI. Disclaimer: card was opened in 2014 and closed 2020 after my BK filing so it's very possible in that timeframe till present day, they may have changed their policies and guidelines.
