Has anyone used Discover Price Protection successfully using ebay?

Hey everyone,  I've read some conflicting reports on this subject.  Would discover price match a purchase if you used a new ebay listing as the "matched" item?  In their terms it says ebay isn't matched, but many people on a different forum said that if its a certain type they will.  The listing I want to match is through buydig so it's a big one that is not a bidding type of auction but just one you buy.  Anyways, I just wanted to hear if anyone else had any experiences.  I talked through live chat, but they said in order for them to comment you have to first call and fill out the sheet they give you and they will tell you weeks later if matched.  I need to know before I purchase the item however.

I have used price protection, but never matched ebay. But their t&c states they wont match auction sites, so it is always YEMV when matching with ebay

Never had anyone match eBay and that includes Citis 90 day price rewind. It won't allow customer priced items either.

I have used it successfully for a TV that I bought off of Amazon. It was a pretty easy process.
