Have a question re: Citi Secured

Hi Everyone - I love these forums - you are all so wonderful and have such great information to share! I have a question re: Citi Secured Card.  I haven't been able to get a Citi card to save my life.  I currently have cards with AMEX, Chase, Capital One (one QS and one secured, which is my oldest card and they will not unsecure it or give me a CL increase because of the terms of the card) BOA Secured (l've had it less than a year, $800 CL) and when I apply with Citi the main reason I can't get the card is too many inquiries, looking for credit, in the last year.  I don't have any negative items listed on my credit report.

I'm currently in the garden for the next two years until August 2019.

My question is should I get a Citi secured card to build the relationship and hope to app for a better card in two years, or just wait the two years and submit a regular application?

My scores are in my signature - thanks for any advice!

Alot can happen in two years. By the time you wait long enough your profile should be in a much better place and there might be better cards available. Unless its an earthshattering need, just give it time and work on your profile, itll happen eventually Smiley Happy

Re: Have a question re: Citi Secured

That's a lot of TLs to be overly concerned about yet another secured CC
IMO I wouldn't waste any effort of HPs on anymore secured CCs

Grow your profile with the TL's you have now
Don't apply until your profile and score are solid enough to secure unsecured approvals

No need for secured accounts with that many TL's reporting...now it's time to build it
