Hi all - friend and I have been trying for a week and no matter what we try, he cannot generate his Amazon referral link.
He can see the section and icon to click on, says $50 to refer, and the button says "start here" - but when he clicks on it, it takes him back to his card rewards balance page. There's no code or link to share and nothing to generate.
Amazon chat has not been helpful nor have they replied to emails from a supposed supervisor, plus there isnt much help googling or searching forums...just wondering if anyone else is having/had this issue and any ideas We've tried tons of browsers, devices, etc - same thing happens each time. Chase CS sends us to Amazon and Amazon sends us to Chase of course lol
Thank you. I sent him this but it just brought him to the same place unfortunately. He can see refer a friend, and click the button, but it just takes him to his rewards page. There is nothing he can do to get it to create a link or code etc. Amazon CS has no clue. 
This is what it looks like and when he clicks on the yellow button it goes to his balance page.
Interesting I don't see that screen anywhere when I try to refer someone. After I go to "your account tab" and then scroll down to "payment section"and then hit the "your Amazon credit cards" it takes me to the next screen where on top it shows how much cash back i have and then I scrolled down that's when I see the first refer a friend on the first screen shot, I hit refer and it takes me to the next page where I see the 2nd refer now on the second screen shot after I hit the yellow refer now button it takes me to my contact list to send the link.
That's so weird! His page has that entire section missing. It goes right from year to date to your card benefits.
Is there any way you might be able to log in from a computer, go to that last refer page and try to capture the URL that would maybe take him to that refer button screen?

Thanks! Just sent to him. I guess it's possible his account is limited from referring but then why would he have the offer at all with the details/link. Hopefully this works, if not, then something is up with his account.
Yes and also is trying from a few browsers on a PC no luck
So that didn't work - it may be unique to you since it says only primary account holder etc. Thanks for helping though! I'm going to see if another friend can generate one, if so then it could be they blocked the first person from referrals for some reason.
