OK, so I'm finally trying to talk my inner chicken into app-ing for the Chase Sapphire Preferred and AMEX BCP.
I'm filling out the CSP app and it asks the following question:
Is your credit history clear from bankruptcies and/or seriously delinquent accounts?
Not sure how to answer this? I have 3 old (paid) state tax liens and one old (unpaid) bogus medical collection (small...$100).
Should I answer yes or no?

I have a 2 year old paid collection and 2 chargeoffs from 2007 (1 unpaid). I left it blank and got approved instantly for 5k...good luck if you go for it!
I believe I read somewhere on there site, that they only consider its serious if its within the last 2 years unless its an Bankruptcy, I was approved with a few old baddies on my report like 4 years old.
Thanks guys!!!
I didn't answer the question and hit submit and....APPROVED!!!!!!
Only $6k though. Should I recon for higher?

Yay! congrats! I was debating to request a CLI on mine but i read it will most likely result in a HP so debating to just apply for a second card instead and that way i can have 2 cards from them and move my limits down the road...lol

Grats on the approval!
I would say just use the card for 3-6 months at least, preferably 12, and them request a CLI. You will probably get a bigger increase for the same cost of 1 HP that way.
If you need a higher CLI right away, you can always call in now.
@dodgers, I don't recommend going on a spree with the same lender unless you already had prior relationship with them before this.
yeah...going to wait about 6 months and go for the CSP then!
