Re: Help!!!GECRB accounts are under review

So you initiated the closure, not the banks right?

And what do you mean by "bad" just so we're clear. The rewards isn't good? the limits weren't good? Service weren't good? Or you didn't pay and account went into deliquency?

They are most likely doing financial review because of the number of accounts you opened.

You should just call and explain to them before they make any decision. Tell them you closed 10 accounts as well, but make sure you have a good reason for opening and closing so many.....

Oh and Lexie is always fast! Smiley Very Happy

Re: Help!!!GECRB accounts are under review

Just my 2cents the lender reviewed your accounts they saw a rash of closings and a drop in available credit and as a result GE wants to know what's up not to mention they extended you some more credit and you said no thank you...IMO

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Help!!!GECRB accounts are under review

Did you ask for CLI's? I know GE SP's and maybe you were coming up for CLI's on your older cards and that's when all the closures came flying at them. Just be ready to explain the closures and since all your cc's are less than 12 mos now they might be a little more cautious.

I am assuming that there are no derogs on your cr.
