Help! What card should I apply for???

I have two capital ones, one orchard and a first premier card all with perfect pymt history.

My lender wants me to get another card to keep impriving my score and to add the hubby as an AU.

My scores (mtg lender pull):

EX was 689 and my TU was 714, EQ is still at 614 but may change next week.

Chase? Gas card or?

What do you want? you can get many good cards now.

Cash back or travel?

International or domestic?

IF you NEVER travel go for cash back, if you want to travel more but felt like you couldn't afford it go for points (as long as you can get time off at work sometimes)

Best cards are like Chase Freedom which is cash back and points. UR points are the most valuable for travel and always 1 cent per dollar cash value. Amex BCP can be good if you shop at a grocery store not a super store.

Domestic US Bank Flexperks or Southwest or United Cards

Interational Amex Platinum Gold or Green, any Chase UR points card

Re: Help! What card should I apply for???

I would opt for points towards flights but I will probably hardly ever use the cards. Just use it for credit building, maybe use a few times.

I haven't had a new card in a lonnnnnng time. Are my scores good enough for a nice popular card?

I do bank with Chase so I was thinking about a business card and another regular card. I would like something with a higher limit (a big girl card) and that allows AU on the accounts and reports them.

Thanks everyone!

unfortunately i doubt that Chase should be the first company to go to for your "big girl card" since Chase is not the company to go to for the initial higher limits. I would go with Amex or Citi or Discover first and get a bigger limit prior. Chase does not like to give the highest initial limit on your reports.

Ok, thanks. I have also heard that they don't like any negatives on your report. I have two medical collections (working on them). But, I was thinking to apply for cards while I am applying for an auto loan over the next couple weeks to minimize the inquiry damage.

I hope in "working on them" you didn't do anything yet. Google Hippa process Whychat it's a way to remove all medical collections works 100% if it's done properly.

Re: Help! What card should I apply for???

If your collections are over a couple years old and you have a credit card that is at least 6 months to a year old, AMEX may over look the collections,  with a EX 689 you should get an instant approval for a charge card perhaps AP for the AMEX PRG AF waived for the first year, and its UTL doesn't affect your credit score and overall UTL. After 6 months you can apply for a AMEX revolver and if you do it in January, you will get a card dated 1/2013 it will be 6 months older than your first AMEX card.

Cards: Chase Southwest 20k & CSR 17k & CSP 10k & FNBO 30k Oregon Duck 5k, & AMEX BCP 32.5k & Amex Magnet 15k&amg; Hilton Surpass 7.5k & Delta Gold 12k & Zync NPSL, Fidelity AMEX 17k Commerce5.9k & Cash Forward 7.5k & Sams Club MC 20k, Paypal Extras MC 10k, Paypal Credit 7.25k CapOne Venture 15k, QS 2.5k, QS 750, Amazon 10k, Walmart 10k, Citi Simplicity 18k, Discover IT 23k and a nice stack of store cards.
