I think 2 cards will be enough for now. I'll refer back to this thread when I think it is time to ask for a CLI again.
@mylow
Marvel Mastercard? Spiderman Mastercard? Are these really that super? lol
No, not Spiderman. Alot of people made that mistake. You want Iron Man.

Yes and no. Some companies will take the app you filled out for one card and apply it to a second card or an app for a new bank account and use that for a card or loan if its within a certain time frame. In a sense, those additional uses constitute a "SP" so to speak since you only had to have 1 HP (hard pull). Your credit report has inquiries that only you can see and those that creditors can see. SP's are the ones you can see. Capital 1 CLI's are SP's but they will check your credit each month. You can see it on your full blown credit report. You can pull a free copy once a year of all your reports from https://www.annualcreditreport.com/index.action. Those reports will show the different inquiries. If in doubt, ask the creditor before you apply.
OK - i'll give that site a look.
Thanks everyone for the guidance! And once I get the cards I'll call and see if I can get a SP for a higher CLI.
I'm abbreviating now, too!

Congratulations, you're off to a good start. Stay with these 2 cards now, both good cards. Pay them down frequently.
First off try all the prequals, cap1 chase amex citi seem reliable, discover and boa are a maybe if the apr spread is low. A lot of people start off with the cap1 QS1 but that does have an annual fee. I have read that Discover likes slim profiles but myself have been declined twice.
No more apps for the time being! You did that in the right order and got some good guidance.
Garden your new saplings for a while now. Just get used to paying on time and you'll be good.

I would stick with 2 cards and learn the in and outs of them before moving forward and applying for more cards. There is alot more to credit cards than just applying and having them sit in your wallet. Learn about HP's, SP, CLI, PC, Cut dates.
Use and abuse your cards for a few months and PIF. Make sure you can use your available credit and not get caught over your head like so many of us have done. Do not let these credit cards destroy your credit.
