Help choosing next card

I would like to get another credit card. I have capital one(2/2010), target(5/2010), and orchard bank(2/2010).  I would like to kick orchard bank and their $39 annual fee to the curb. My wishlist includes lowes, walmart, jcp, macy's and another major credit card though not sure which yet. I need help choosing another card as I don't want to watse an inquiry. Here is my situation:

BK7 discharged 10/2009....no lates since BK

TU- 709

EQ- 641

EX(lender pull)- 675

utilization for all cards is under 10%

I do have a few inquires about 5

All suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks LilMirth for the response!

I guess my biggest concern is being denied because of the Bankruptcy. I'm looking to get rid of one of my rebuilder cards and was wondering if I am jumping the gun too soon for this. I don't want to waste an inquiry just to be denied.

Re: Help choosing next card

Of all the cards you listed, JCP seems easy to get and GEMB is good at CLIs till the point you hit abt 1.5k CL.

As long as your util can be managed without the CL from orchard (feel free to pay your cards every week or even sooner), you won't have any bad impact by closing the orchard. It will report as a good TL for 10 years.

If I was you, I will close orchard, then try to get a card from my local CU (I wont mind a secure one either as long as it has no AF, DCU for example has a no AF card) and then take a JCP (irrespective of the outcome of CU card)

Citi Hilton Reserve 22.3K | Citi Thank You 8.2K | CSP 15.5K | Chase Freedom 10K | Chase BA 15K | Chase United 8.5K | Chase Marriott 5K | Discover IT 9K | Club Carlson 13K | Amex SPG 20K | BofA Cash Rewards 11K | BofA Cash Rewards 50K

Lowe's, Walmart and JCP are issued by the same institution - GEMB and are known for offering easy approval criteria, low credit limit and high APR.Macy's store card usually starts with low CL, but used to be fairly generous with CLI's, of course very high APR and Macy's does not report CL.

I would suggest Lake Michigan CU Visa and/or Fort Knox FCU Visa.

Re: Help choosing next card

I've said it before GEMB is a good company.I have ALL those cards and then some. They are a great company and once you've built a good history with them, they treat you right and their cards are easy to get.Decide which one do you want more.WM discover has special financing offers as does Lowe's.They also have aniversal AMEX with 2.99% for 6 months. With the WM card, when you apply its 1 hit for the possibility of their branded card or a Discover. BTW my Lowe's is $5000.00 not bad for my report...

Best of Luck
