My fico scores are posted below, but I recently applied for a barclays mastercard the amount was for $1000 automatically, and I was declined. The Transunion score they pulled turned out to be 613. With that being said, I'm in the process of trying to get another card as I currently have a Cap 1 secured and would like to avoid the secured thing but if I must I will turn to it. I'm currently enrolled in college, which I'm not sure if that would matter or not, but if anyone can give me some advice on which card to go for I would appreciate it. I tried doing the shopping cart tricks on Express, Victoria Secret, and Jcrew and never got the pop up. I'm not sure if I did it wrong, or my profile just isn't possible in getting an unsecured card at the moment. Any suggestions?

OP - what other credit history do you have and what is your AAoA? Any student loans? How old and what CL is your secured Capital One? Are there any negative items on your file? You mentioned Barclays, were you initially approved for $1K and then declined?
I was in a similar position not to long ago. I would try getting the sportman's guide visa. It's a shopping cart trick and approvals are pretty easy to get. I would first clear out the cookies on your computer. Go to the website and put a hundred dollars worth of things in your shopping cart. At check out, enter your information EXACTLY as it appears on your credit reports. You should get a pop up inviting you to apply. Apply. That should be it. If that doesn't work, clear your cookies again and use a diferent browser. Let me know how it goes! GOOD LUCK!
