I recently request a limit increase after having the card for only 4 months. I anticipated a decline and was given just that. My initial limit was $1500, and I purchased a computer for $1300. I had 6 months to pay it off with no interest charged, so I paid it in 4. Now I desperately need a laptop for work and I need a good one. I hate that my company does not provide us peons with laptops, but I need a new one as my current laptop is going on 6 years old and starting to get a bit aged (my college buddy is dying). I need this soon as I pretty much can't work effectively without it. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I could persuade Best Buy to increase my limit to $2000-$2500. Is there a number to call that deal specifically with credit analysis rather than the simple-minded customer care reps? Or am I doomed to wait it out and hope my buddy here doesn't die in the next few months?

Look for Best Buy Store Card on the link...
Thanks for the link. I actually found it shortly after posting. Any other experience with this card in particular?
I think you'll find that this card is strictly 6 months between opening and 1st CLI and 6 months for every CLI thereafter. That's my experience.
Thanks rbh. I figured as much. Just have to be patient.
I closed my BBRZMC because they wouldn't increase my limit ($500 for 3 years). I then turned around and app'd for the store card and was approved for $1200. In August I reqeusted a CLI just because it had the option online. It was increased to $1700. I tried again in September and was denied. Reason being that I was granted an increase within the last 6 months. So they do seem to be strict on the 6 month rule BUT I did get an increase 1 month after opening my card. So as always YMMV. Both were soft pulls btw.
they stick to the 6 month rule with us too. but we have had good increases, so we are not complaining
