Re: Help me determine what to do next

Well I'd try Bank of America first. They gave me my first card, when I had no history @ all.

Re: Help me determine what to do next

I applied for BofA world point Mastercard and they said they have to verify my information. From your experiences what does that mean. They didn't turn me down so I'm happy but what happens from here?

That's a maybe. Did you do it on-line or on the phone? If on-line call one of the backdoor numbers and speak to a credit analyst.

We omly know your EQ FICO  (it is good)...  so you should check who pulls EQ and who might give people with new credit histories larger lines.  Any connection to the US Armed forces?  NFCU if you do

Otherwise try Alliant CU or NASA...  Again, Cabelas Visa would give you a nice line certainly.

Re: Help me determine what to do next

Hard to say what it means. It is probably exactly what they said --they want to verify your identity (SSN, address, something like that.) This isn't rare for those a bit new to credit.

I would do as they suggested above and call the BofA back-door number (whatever it is these days) and find out what they need. If you get a terrible CSR first time, just thank them politely and hang up, and try again in an hour.

Also the Pentagon FCU Platinum Visa card has great rewards. 5% back on gas and 2% back on groceries each month with 1.25% back on everything else.

FYI for anyone else doing CC shopping.. you can join the NMFA for a one-time fee of $20. Then you're eligible for the PenFed CU. Sounds like they have some great products.

Thank you so much for your information. I am so nervous about their decision. Has anyone had this message sent to them, and what were the results?
