Help on building my score

Hey everyone,

I am new to the community, 5 months ago I got a secured card with a 300 CL. I have made payments early every single month and leaing a few bucks for a balance.  When i started I had a 588 credit core, I am now at 656 (FICO).  Is there ever a good time to expand my credit worthyness with new lines of credit to help raise my score?

Re: Help on building my score

Rebuilding forum will be best spot for help.  Yes, it depends though what your current card line up is.  What your current Utilization is?  What your short term and longer term goals are.  Depending on that your strategy will take different paths.

Current Score: EX 712 4/28/15, TU 713 4/14/14 lender pull, EQ 723 9/16/15, 740 EQ bankcard 8 6/1/15 lender pull
Last app 03/12/17

More info needed

Baddies. AAoA, Loans car SL or home?

Scores all 3?

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I would say your on the brink of being able to get more cards and to increase your chances don't app now.

Work on the 3 baddies and let your scores continue to climb.

If you have any success with the baddies and a few more months without any decrease in scores due to new apps you coiuld be high 600's

Re: Help on building my score

if the "baddies" are paid, try sending a goodwill letter to have them removed. if not, try to do a pfd and get as many removed as possible before applying for new cards

Re: Help on building my score

I applied for the Barclay rewards card to add another line of credit, and was denied. So I called the back door number, they told me I need a little more good credit history and I should be good to re apply, suck that I took a hit for this though.
