hi, something weird happened..

3 days ago i went to Home Depot and spent about 13 bucks on some paint materials i needed with my cash rewards. when i got home i remembered it was hacked. each day after that the transaction was always pending. Today i went to check my balance on the CC and the whole transaction is gone (removed) should i call customer service ? did i just get something for free ?

Just wait a day (or two) and it'll show up again. This happens pretty frequently on my BoA card for some reason so I'm guessing it's the same thing; when a charge is going to go from 'pending' to 'posted', it'll typically disappear from the account when it's transitioning between the two, typically around midnight actually. It sometimes happens when I make a payment on the card as well. Make no mistake, you still owe the money and did not get a freebie

From my experience, when a transaction has been pending for long enough, it "disappeared" temporarily and it would show up as posted when the merchant Realized the revenue. Generally speaking, if you shop oine, the merchants realized their revenues when they shipped the item and at that time the pending would become posted.
I think it just took longer time for your merchant to realize their revenue. It should show up in less than a week

If you have an account that may have been potentially compromised, its possible it has been flagged and a new account/card could have been issued or as others have stated its also possible the transaction is just pending.
