Hi all,
My Fico scores are: 661 (EQ...as of yesterday), 697 (TU...as of early March, probably higher now), EX:? (Always my middle score)
Income: $43K
Positive Accounts:
1 Mortgage: Hasn't reported on CR's yet (closed in December)
Installment: 1 student loan (balance: $8500ish, monthly pmt:$75...never late)
Revoving accts: 1 Kohl's card: $0/$200CL, 1 Home Depot/Citibank card: $597/$3,000 CL, 1 WFFNB furniture card: $678/$3,400 CL, 2 secured CC's #1-$0/$300, #2-$0/$400
Adverse Accounts:
GEMB/Walmart: PAID CO from 2007
GEMB/Sam's: PAID CO from 2007
2 PAID collections from 2007
Overall utilization: 19%
Inquiries: EQ-3, TU-4
I'm hoping to find a card with about a 7k limit and need to app soon before my mortgage hits my CR's next month! Given the above info. are there any cards that you can think of that I may qualify for with the limit I'm needing? I know my scores aren't the greatest, but overall my utilization is low and all my accounts are on time with no lates.

May I ask you why you're looking for a CC with a $7000 limit? Reason why I ask is that you have no other TLs with that type of limit. Most lenders do not want to be the first one to give a big limit, so this will be a challenge.
Your baddies in 2007 are really going to hurt you.

I'm getting married this summer and that's how we are hoping to pay for most of it. We ended up buying a house in December (after trying the summer before and being denied) so we thought we'd better jump on it and ended up using all of the money we had saved for our DP, closing costs, etc.
Yea I worried the baddies from '07 would still hurt I have tried GW'ing until I'm blue in the face and GEMB hates me. The other 2 are medical I'm planning on HIPAA'ing after I app for the card(s) I'm wanting.
I wish I could consider my fiance's income because together we would be over 100K and would probably help my chances, however his credit is not good. Just wondered if I had a shot in the dark at getting approved for something even close to that limit
Do you really think it is wise to take out a credit card for the sole purpose of getting more debt? Why can't you just pay with cash?
If you are still trying to obtain this credit card then you might want to start praying to the credit gods since your history with the COs and the new mortgage would raise some flags on the lenders end. Perhaps you may want to consider just using what you have now and just to make payments early to accomadate more spending.
Highly unlikely you will get a CC with that limit!
You can get married for far less money. IMO, Running up a big CC debt for a wedding is an incredibly bad idea.

+1!
The # 1 cause for divorce is debt... do you really want to marr your wedding by dumping that on your new life? If you love eachother, then the date doesn't matter. Save $500/mo for 14 months and pay cash next year.

I agree. Getting a CC with plans of already maxing it out is a bad idea.
